The story of Tanner Hill Petroleum
Our story begins in the summer of 1998 in Shelburne, NH as Tanner Hill Milling & Construction, when David and Kim Landry set out on their own after years of experience in the fuel infrastructure industry. David spent much of his career in the White Mountains, working on gas station installations, boiler maintenance, and other fuel systems, always alongside neighbors and familiar faces. From the start, the business was built on expertise, trust, and a personal touch.
Outside of the business, the Landrys spend their time working their land in the forestry space, operating their sawmill to produce lumber and materials for building projects. They also value time in their wood shop, carving bowls and spoons, weaving pack baskets, and practicing traditional woodcraft. That same appreciation for precision and hard work carries into everything they do professionally. For the Landrys, craftsmanship is not just part of the job. It is part of who they are.
In 2018, their daughter Moriah joined the family business as co-owner, expanding Tanner Hill into testing and compliance. A licensed installer, technician, and certified compliance tester, Moriah quickly earned recognition across the region. With David, Kim, and Moriah partnered, the company became known as the team you called when you wanted professionalism combined with a friendly, family-focused approach.
In December 2020, Moriah and her family welcomed Pierce David, a true miracle, born at just 1lb 6.2oz. He spent seven months in the NICU at Maine Med, and during that time, Moriah’s involvement in the business had to shift entirely, from active partner to devoted mother. This period tested the family in profound ways, showcasing Moriah’s incredible strength, resilience, and love. Pierce’s arrival brought both challenge and joy, and even today, clients across the region still ask about him, a testament to the bond between the family and the community they serve.
In 2023, long-time friend and colleague Jordan Cote joined the team. Having worked in the industry since 2008, he brought years of hands-on field experience and long-standing relationships throughout the region. In January 2024, Jordan purchased the business and rebranded it as Tanner Hill Petroleum. His focus is to uphold the values, ethics, and hands-on service that built the company’s reputation while guiding it into its next chapter.
Today, David and Kim continue to play an active role in the company, and Moriah has taken on a vital role as Office Manager, keeping daily operations running smoothly. Under Jordan’s leadership, the team maintains its dedication to professionalism, integrity, and exceptional service.
Tanner Hill Petroleum stays true to its small, hands-on roots, delivering fuel infrastructure solutions with care, precision, and accountability.
